Sloans Creek Heritage Meats, L.L.C. is the natural, Grass-Only (Our term for grassfed.), or pastured meat marketing business for Sloans Creek Farm. On our farm we don’t use Hormone Implants or Routine Antibiotics. We are striving to be a Non-Certified Organic, Sustainable, Grass-based, Heritage Breed, Family Farm with a focus on quality Registered Red Poll Cattle for Grass-Only Beef, Registered St. Croix Hair Sheep for Salad Bar Lamb, Myotonic Meat Goats for Grass-Only Goat, & Registered Red Wattle Pastured, Sustainable Pork. We also sell local honey produced on our family farm, and farms throughout the surrounding counties by Desert Creek Honey. Grass-Only means just that. Our cattle, hair sheep, and goats are raised on an all forage diet in a managed grass system, and they receive no grain in their diets. The hogs are raised on soil and pasture with non-GMO feed grains as part of their diet. We believe this produces a superior product for human consumption, is better for the animals’ health, and we believe it is how God intended ruminants to be raised.
