Goat Milk Soap Why Goat Milk you might Ask? Goat Milk contains over 50 nutrients, including the vital vitamins of A, C, B1, B6, B12 & E, minerals, citric acid, amino acids, un-saturated fatty acids, enzymes, and a variety of other nutrients that nourish and revitalize the skin. Vitamin A slows down the effects of aging, prevents brown spots, and thickening of the skin, while Zinc contributes to the reconstruction of collagen fibers, encouraging moisture retention and assisting in maintaining your skin's elasticity. Goat Milk soap is mild to sensitive skin. The many different oils we use have special properties that contribute to the character of the final soap. Coconut Oil - contributes to soap harness, fluffy lather, and is an emollient, moisturizing, conditioning to protect the skin. Lard - contributes hardness, conditioning, and stable lather. Olive Oil - Contributes to soap hardness, stable lather, slippery feel, conditioning, moisturizing. Olive Oil attracts external moisture to your skin, helping to keep skin soft and supple. Palm Oil - Contributes to soap hardness, stable lather, conditioning, & silky feel. Sweet Almond Oil - is an emollient and contributes to stable lather, conditioning, & moisturizing. Shea Butter - is said to be beneficial for treating dry skin, blemishes, skin discoloration , scars and wrinkles. All cold pressed soaps have to cure for at least 3 weeks. The longer the soap cures, the harder the soap will be, the longer it will last. Tea Tree Oil has remarkable healing properties. It can penetrate the skin to reach otherwise un-accessible places like under the fingernails. It is an effective antiseptic and kills bacteria. quickly. It is an effective fungicide which means it kills organisms that cause tinea, ringworm and candida. Aloe Vera is very healing to the skin for many skin irritations as well as insect bites & burns.

The most effective ways we've run across of separating these nutmeats from their shells include running over them a few times on a concrete driveway, and cracking them in a small shop vise. In our view, the flavor more than makes up for the work - just please be forewarned that work will be involved in getting to the edible part of black walnuts. They go great in cakes and cookies, as well as just general nibbling. You can expect from 3/4 to 1 cup of edible nutmeats from a pound of unshelled black walnuts.

This lighter, smoother lavender has many uses. It's relaxing fragrance is good for lavender water, cooking fresh or dried. The leaves are now available. I use this lavender fresh from the garden occasionally when I make my skillet potato with onion and garlic plate, adding a unique flavor and it's oh so yummy.
